L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD – Medium Beige [Review]
Product: L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD – Medium Beige
Price: INR 695 for 8 gm
About the product: L.A. Girl’s HD Pro Concealers are crease-resistant with opaque coverage featuring creamy, yet lightweight texture. The long-wearing concealer formula camouflages darkness under the eyes, redness and skin imperfections. L.A. concealers provide complete, natural-looking coverage, even skin tone, cover dark circles and minimize fine lines around the eyes.
Packaging: The concealer comes packaged in a transparent squeeze tube with a brush applicator and a black screw cap. The applicator is great, dispenses the product well but I’m not a huge fan of the brush applicator since it absorbs a little product. But apart from that, the packaging is great and is super travel friendly.
Texture of the product: The texture of this concealer is very smooth and creamy. I love how easy it is to blend this, you can either use a beauty blender or just your fingers, blending this concealer is honestly a cake walk. It does not settle down in your wrinkles or fine lines, neither it makes your under eyes feel super dry.
Coverage and staying power: The coverage of this concealer is beautiful. It gives medium to high coverage. It is buildable if you feel like you need more product. It mostly covers up your dark circles, any scars, redness and any sort of imperfection that you feel you might want to conceal. It doesn’t look cakey, or drying or patchy which I love about this concealer, in fact it looks very hydrating. Also, you don’t need a lot of it, a little goes a long way since the consistency of this concealer is thick and creamy.
Staying power or longevity: The staying power of this concealer is brilliant. It stays put for good 7-8 hours, if you set it with some powder to prevent it from creasing or budging. It is an aqua based concealer with beeswax which probably helps in its staying power.
Shade – Medium Beige: Now coming to the shade range, the shade range of this concealer is huge! It has more than 30 shades including the colour correctors. It has a shade for every skin tone. And you can also buy multiple shades, for spot concealing, or face contouring, or under eye highlighting, it has so many shades that you can do a lot just with these. Plus, the shades are great for Indian skin tones.
I’ve got the shade medium beige which is for medium skin with neutral undertones. The shade exactly matches my skin tone which is why I use this concealer first to conceal my under eye, and then I go with a brighter concealer to highlight my under eye area.
Effects & Experience: So I’ve had this concealer for a long time now but I didn’t reach out for this much as I had other concealers doing the job pretty well. And like always, I get around using a product only when I start feeling like it, otherwise it keeps sitting. Weird, I know. But once I do start using a product that I start liking, there’s no going back!
So coming back to my experience with this concealer, I ordered this a while ago and as I was ordering it I was so skeptical about my shade as this concealer has a huge shade range to offer which is amazing, but I was looking for a shade or two lighter than my skin tone. After looking up a bit, I finally ordered the shade ‘medium beige’ and wanted to try out what the hype is all about.
After I did start using it, I understood what the hype is all about! I honestly feel this is one of the best drugstore concealer in the market. The texture is so creamy and smooth, it blends effortlessly. I either blend it with a beauty blender, or sometimes with my fingers too, it needs no effort in blending which I really like. It feel hydrating, doesn’t crease or budge and stays put the entire evening. The shade that I’ve got exactly matches my skin tone which helps in concealing my dark circles under my eyes beautifully! And then I go with a lighter shade of concealer to brighten the under eye area a bit, and it looks stunning. This concealer instantly covers up the area I like to conceal and I might get brighter shades in this, since a little goes a long way, the tubes will last me for months.
• Creamy, smooth and lightweight texture
• Great consistency, neither too thick nor thin
• Doesn’t crease or settles into fine lines
• Doesn’t emphasize dry patches or feels drying
• Blends effortlessly
• Gives medium to high coverage, conceals beautifully
• Stays put for 7-8 hours without budging or fading
• Travel friendly packaging
• Comes in more than 30 shades including colour correctors
• Priced reasonably
• Not a big turn off, but I could do without the brush applicator. It absorbs a little product, I’m not a big fan of dispensing the product or even applying it through a brush. But since the product is amazing, I don’t mind it that much.
Conclusion: So overall, it is a great drugstore concealer available in the market, as I’m sure most of us already know and love it. The texture is creamy, consistency is good, coverage is great, and the longevity is amazing, there’s nothing that I dislike about this concealer. On top of that, the shade range that this concealer has is mind blowing, including the colour correctors and contouring shades, this product has got you covered! From the time I’ve started using this, I can’t help reaching out for this. I love how it makes my under eye and other areas that I like to conceal looks hydrated and not drying. The texture is so smooth, it doesn’t make your skin looks patchy or cakey. Just make sure you set it with powder if you want this to last all evening and don’t want it to fade or move. Plus, a little goes a long way, what else would one want! I would definitely get brighter shades in this as I honestly love how it makes my base look.
I totally recommend L.A. Girl’s Pro HD conceal, if you haven’t tried it already and are looking for a great drugstore concealer that looks stunning!
